The city of Los Angeles is currently facing a crisis concerning clean water. At One-Up Action Los Angeles, a youth-run activist organization, we have drafted a motion (linked below) to send to the LA City Council regarding their current Green New Deal. At the moment, Los Angeles has promised to provide free, clean, drinkable water to Skid Row by 2021, and offer the same to 5 additional low-income communities by 2025. This change needs to happen sooner. This is an urgent matter that directly affects the working class, unhoused individuals, and BIPOC communities. Our community members are dying, and temperatures are reaching unprecedented highs. We ask you to protect our low-income communities by giving them access to safe water sooner by supporting our motion and adding your name to the list of those helping to save lives.
