The True Cost of Chevron Network arose in 2009 when communities affected by Chevron came together to work with environmental NGOs to release an "Alternative Annual Report" for Chevron shareholders at its annual shareholder's meeting in San Ramon, CA. That report showed the true human and environmental impact of Chevron's destructive operations. (The 2010 Alternative Annual Report) report can be found here)
Since that time every year many of these same communities and NGOs collaborate to inform investors and the world about the consequences of Chevron's operations. Chevron is a known global polluter and violator of human rights. From Nigeria to Ecuador, Richmond, CA to Perth, Australia, Argentina, Brazil, and now Israel communities are fighting back against Chevron's operations and working to hold the oil giant accountable for its acts.
We present these stories annually at the True Cost of Chevron website and we are planning to use Noo.World to better collaborate and organize our actions and events.
Please join our community and demand climate justice and respect for human rights from Chevron!
The global coalition forming to fight back against Chevron is powerful ✊🏽 We have to keep up the pressure!
Chevron is one of the real monsters out there, looking forward to getting involved and taking action!
