Free Donziger Sentencing Rally

Please join us in Manhattan and come Friday to our "Free Donziger" rally at 8:30 a.m. outside the Manhattan federal courthouse at 500 Pearl St. Speakers include Roger Waters, legendary lawyers Ron Kuby and Martin Garbus, and many others. The goal is to create a major energy force that will protect Steven at his sentencing before Judge Preska scheduled for 10 a.m. Supporters of U.S. human rights attorney Steven Donziger, who is scheduled to be sentenced this Friday on a contempt of court charge after helping Indigenous peoples in the Amazon win a $9.5 billion pollution judgment against Chevron, will protest outside the Manhattan federal courthouse.

They will urge President Biden and the Department of Justice to intervene in the case and release Donziger because of "flagrant" conflicts of interests with what critics call the nation's first private corporate criminal prosecution.
